Your Library Delivered Van

Can’t make it to the library? We’ll help bring the library to you.

Ruidoso Public Library’s Your Library Delivered Van offers book delivery to select community drop sites on a rotating schedule. Call in your request, or place your reserve through the library catalog, and we’ll prepare your books for pickup at the location you choose.

How It Works

  • Call the library (575-258-3704) on Thursday or Friday prior to your delivery Monday to request books, or place your reserve online through the catalog.

    Library staff can help you select available titles and confirm your request.

    Pick up your books at your selected drop site during the scheduled time window.

    This service is available for books and audiobooks only. Items requested for delivery must be available on the shelf at the time of request. If an item is currently checked out, it cannot be reserved for delivery service.

Delivery Schedule

Deliveries are organized by route:

Route 1: April 6, April 20, May 4, May 18

Route 2: April 13, April 27, May 11, May 29 (Friday delivery due to Monday holiday; items must be reserved on the Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday before the May 29 delivery)

Pickup Locations + Times

Route 1

• Mescalero Post Office: 9:00–9:30 AM

• Ruidoso Community Center: 10:00–10:30 AM

• Ruidoso Downs Senior Center: 11:00–11:30 AM

• Hondo Senior Center: 3:15–3:45 PM

Note: The delivery vehicle breaks for lunch from 1:00–2:00 PM.

Route 2

• Capitan Senior Center: 9:30–10:00 AM

• Carrizozo Senior Center: 10:30–11:00 AM

Place a Hold Online

You may also place your own reserve through the library catalog:

  • Go to https://ruidoso.biblionix.com/catalog/

  • Log in to your account using your library card number as your username and your 4-digit PIN as your password

  • Search by title or author

  • Select the item and click Reserve

  • In My Account, change the preferred pickup method to Van

  • Return to the reserve screen, confirm the pickup method says Van, and click Place Reserve

Good to Know

  • A valid library card in good standing is required. 

  • Requests should be made on Thursday or Friday prior to your delivery date. 

  • If weather impacts delivery, the library will contact you with updates.
